love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. . .And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

愛是恆久忍耐,又有恩慈;

愛是不嫉妒,愛是不自誇,不張狂,不做害羞的事,

不求自己的益處,不輕易發怒,不計算人的惡,不喜歡不義,只喜歡真理;

凡事包容,凡事相信,凡事盼望,凡事忍耐;愛是永不止息。

哥林多前書13章4-8節

~ A marriage...makes of two fractional lives a whole; it gives to two purposeless lives a work, and doubles the strength of each to perform it; it gives to two questioning natures a reason for living, and something to live for; it will give a new gladness to the sunshine, a new fragrance to the flowers, a new beauty to the earth, and a new mystery to life. ~

O, God, by your plan man and woman are united, and married life has been established as the one blessing that was not forfeited by sin.Keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life. Give them the strength which comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others. And, after a happy old age, grant them fullness of life with the saints in the kingdom of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
